What to expect

Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Upon arrival at Leh Kushok Bakula Airport, guests are welcomed and transferred to their hotel for check-in. The day is reserved for acclimatization, followed by a warm welcome tea. In the evening, they explore Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and the vibrant Leh Market. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Monastery Excursion

After breakfast, the tour begins with an exploration of Ladakh’s rich heritage, visiting Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of the Drukpa Kagyu Order, followed by Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace, and the famous 3 Idiots Rancho School. The day ends with a visit to Sindhu Ghat before returning to Leh. Evening at leisure, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Pangong Lake Expedition

An early morning drive takes guests to the stunning Pangong Lake via Changla Pass at 5,486 meters. The route winds through Sakti Village and the picturesque Tangtse, where guests can stop for tea. Upon arrival, they experience the breathtaking blue waters of Pangong Lake, stretching across India and China. After a relaxing time at the lake, they return to Leh for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Khardungla Pass Adventure

Post breakfast, guests embark on an exhilarating drive to Khardungla Pass, the highest motorable road in the world at 18,390 feet. The pass offers panoramic views of the Indus Valley and the vast mountain ranges of Zanskar and Saser. After soaking in the beauty, they return to Leh, with free time for shopping and exploring the local markets. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Departure from Leh

After breakfast, guests are transferred to Leh Airport for their onward journey, concluding an unforgettable Ladakh experience.

Day 1: Arrival in Leh – Acclimatize & Explore

Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport, Leh—one of the world’s most breathtaking flights, offering views of peaks like K2 and Nanga Parbat. After transferring to your hotel, take the day to acclimatize to Leh’s high altitude (over 11,000 ft). In the afternoon, stroll through the Leh Market, visit the historic Leh Palace, and soak in the views from Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay in Leh. (Tip: Stay active but avoid strenuous activity, alcohol, or smoking today.)

Day 2: Sham Valley Sightseeing

After breakfast, set out to explore the magical Sham Valley. Highlights include the gravity-defying Magnetic Hill, the patriotic Hall of Fame museum, the sacred Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and the stunning Sangam—the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus Rivers. Return to Leh in the evening for a relaxed overnight stay.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung-La

Begin your journey to Nubra Valley, crossing the legendary Khardung-La Pass—the highest motorable road in the world at 5,602 meters. Explore the sand dunes of Hunder, where you can opt for camel rides, ATV adventures, or local dance shows (at your own cost). If time allows, visit Diskit Monastery with its commanding views. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful night under the stars at your camp or hotel in Nubra.

Day 4: Nubra to Pangong via Shyok

Drive from Nubra to the stunning Pangong Lake via the scenic Shyok route. With the Shyok River on one side and stark mountains on the other, the journey is an adventure in itself. Reach Pangong Lake, made famous by movies like 3 Idiots, and marvel at its shifting shades of blue and green. Spend the night at a lakeside campsite, surrounded by unmatched Himalayan beauty.

Day 5: Pangong to Leh via Chang-La

Wake up to a surreal sunrise at Pangong Lake and enjoy breakfast by its tranquil shores. Then, begin your return to Leh, passing charming villages and stopping at Chang-La Pass for a warming cup of tea. Reach Leh by evening and unwind for your final night in the mountains.

Day 6: Departure from Leh

After breakfast, head to Leh Airport with your bags packed and your heart full of Ladakhi memories. Trip ends, but the magic stays with you.
